The Learning Communities Committee is a sub-committee of Academic Affairs and has been inactive for
several years. The proposal is to officially disband the committee. Some of the members of the current
committee are discussing the possibility of creating a task force to investigate alternative approaches to
communities of learning but the charge will not be identical to the committee which is being disbanded.
