This project will define the awards offered at COCC, realign awards with approved state award titles, and
comprehensively define the award requirements, including performance standards and required courses.
The ultimate result will be Board approval of all awards and their definitions.

Student Services staff are working in parallel with this policy proposal to develop an implementation strategy.
Will improve consistency of requirements for awards and will improve clarity of information provided about
degree or certificate requirements. Student transcripts and degrees will more accurately reflect the award
they earned.
