· A permit must be purchased and issued for each section of the manufactured house.
·
Commercial trailers are not built to HUD-code specifications; therefore do not qualify for a
Manufactured Housing Permit unless the unit has a valid HUD label. Mobile office trailers, park
models, laboratories, or bunkhouses are not eligible for a Manufactured Housing Permit. These units
must apply for a General Permit (Form 106).
· A General Permit (Form 106) is required to haul a stack of manufactured housing frames or housing
that exceeds legal gross, axle, or axle group weights.
· Each permit is valid for five days. No movement is allowed on the following holidays: New Year's
Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day.
Helpful Hints:
1. Include the proper highway signage for each highway you wish to travel.
2. Make sure each applicable field is completed. Incomplete fields may result in the delay of your permit being processed.
3. Illegible applications may result in errors in your permit. To ensure information is permitted properly, typing this form is encouraged.
