Component Part(s) Bill of Sale
This form must be submitted with the Rebuilt Vehicle Statement (Form VTR-61) when submitting a new application
for title for the motor vehicle in which the component part(s) are used.
All “Component Parts” listed on this form must be from the same vehicle and sold to an individual purchaser. A
separate Component Part(s) Bill of Sale (Form VTR-63) is required for parts from different vehicles or parts from the
same vehicle sold to different purchasers.
Neither the frame nor body of a nonrepairable vehicle may be used in another vehicle for on road use. A Texas title
will not be issued to any vehicle that is nonrepairable or uses the frame or body from a nonrepairable vehicle.
Note: This form may not be used to transfer ownership for a component part by which the vehicle is typically titled
(e.g., passenger vehicle body, Volkswagen frame (floorpan or floorpan and chassis), or the truck frame of a commercial
vehicle). A negotiable title is required to transfer ownership for these component parts.
To transfer ownership for a component part by which the vehicle is not typically titled such as a passenger vehicle
frame, motor, fender, hood, etc., this form may be completed and is sufficient ownership evidence for the part(s).
