Textbooks:
Adoptions: Textbook Adoption Forms must be completed by each instructor for each
course they are teaching each term, approved by the Department Chair and submitted to
the Bookstore by the established term deadline (Fall: May 1; Winter: October 30; Spring:
January 30; Summer: April 17). Textbook Adoptions submitted after the deadline may not
arrive on time without additional expense to the Department and will not be included in
consideration for Buy-Back. Assumptions about the current or

These dates have been used for the last ten years yet just recently discovered as
incorrect in the General Policies Manual. The Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008
requires education institutions, to the maximum extent practicable, list the prices and
ISBN codes of the required and recommended textbooks for each course on their online
course schedules used for preregistration and registration. In order to have this
information available, the Bookstore had to adjust the textbook adoption/request due
dates.
