We are requesting a change in course fees associated with aviation courses.
Move $160 FAA Knowledge Exam Fee from AV 227C to AV 227B & from AV 228C to AV 228B
Move $160 FAA Knowledge Exam Fee from AV 227E to AV 227D & from AV 228E to AV 228D
Move $160 FAA Knowledge Exam Fee from AV 227G to AV 227F & from AV 228G to AV 228F
Move $450 FAA Designated Pilot Examiner Fee from AV 222B to AV 222C
Move $450 FAA Designated Pilot Examiner Fee from AV 222D to AV 222E
Move FAA Knowledge Exam Fee from AV 222G to AV 222F
The reason for the change is to help motivate the students to complete their FAA exams sooner
rather than later. The move also supports our advising methodology of not allowing a student to
progress to a successive flight lab without completing the prerequisites (or in this case, one of the
preferred outcomes).

Other:
3. BUDGET IMPACT
4. INSTRUCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS/IMPACTS
5. OPERATIONAL IMPACT
This should be a budget neutral change since it is a redistribution of existing fees rather
than creation of new fees.
Students will take their FAA exams earlier and be better prepared for subsequent classes.
No significant impact after the initial change to documentation in catalog and course
descriptions.
