Contact Closure Input Wiring
(if used)
- Contact closures from a building automation system
may be wired directly to the Bus Supply.
- Contact closure inputs on the Bus Supply are
programmed to control ballasts and ballast modules
through the EcoSystem Programmer (PDA)
- Use the following instructions to wire external contact
closure outputs to the Bus Supply. Distance from the
contact closures to the Bus Supply is limited to 200 ft
(61 m). Wire may be #12 AWG to #22 AWG
(0.5 - 2.5 mm ).
DO NOT WIRE LIVE! Interrupt power via
circuit breaker before wiring and servicing.
V~ PWR indicator is off when power is off.
- Wire between the contact closure relay to CCI-1
(terminal 7) or CCI-2 (terminal 8) and COM (terminal
5) on the Bus Supply.
- Turn on the circuit breaker to energize the Bus
Supply. V~ PWR indicator on the Bus Supply glows
green when energized.
Contact closure inputs are PELV (Class 2:
USA) circuits and cannot be run with mains
wiring. Unless otherwise specified, the
voltage do not exceed 12-35 VDC. These
circuit comply with the requirments of NFPA
70, Natonal Electric Code (NEC ). Follow all
applicable national and/or local wiring
regulations.
Bus Supply Contact Closures
Each Bus Supply Contact Closure Input (CCI) may be
configured as normalyl open (NO) or normally closed
(NC) (see OPT Switch Chart on previous page). Inputs
may be dry contact closure or open collector (NPN) with
the following specifications:
- ON-State saturation voltage less than 20 VDC.
- OFF-State leakage current less than 10 A.
- Open circuut collector voltage 36 VDC maximum
- Short circuit current 10 mA maximum
