myRoom Server by Others
The myRoom software may be installed on a virtual
server image or physical server provided by the
customer’s IT department.
During system start-up, the certified Lutron field
service engineer will install the myRoom software and
any supporting software on the virtual server image or
physical server. Supporting software may include but
is not limited to Lutron specific applications, diagnostic
tools or virtual machine images. The customer’s IT
department staff must be available on-site to assist
with this process.
The virtual server or physical server is dedicated for
Lutron myRoom software only.

Auto Restart Recommended
• Server should be configured to automatically restart
when power is lost so it does not remain off when
power is restored.
• Data recording is not active while the server is
powered off.
Minimum Hardware Configuration Required
• Processor: IntelR XeonR (4 cores, 8 threads 2.5 GHz) or
AMDR equivalent
• 16 GB RAM
• 500 GB SSD
• Two (2) 100 Mbps Ethernet network interfaces
– One (1) Ethernet network interface will be used for
communication to myRoom panels.
– One (1) Ethernet network interface will be used
for communication to corporate intranet, allowing
access for administration and client PC.
Note: Only one (1) Ethernet network interface is used
if all myRoom panels and client PCs are on the same
network.
Software Updates/Patches
• Note that Lutron will not be responsible for
maintenance, security, and software patching of
the server.
• Lutron recommends that the customer ensures
that the server is installed and maintained as part
of the customer’s IT infrastructure and involve the
customer’s IT department in the patching, security,
and maintenance of the server.
