BACHELOR OF NURSING
ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
INFORMATION REQUIRED
To all applicants
The Bachelor of Nursing program offered by The University of Notre Dame, Australia is accredited by the Australian
Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC). The ANMAC require students to meet English language
requirements set by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) which the University upholds to ensure
students are eligible to register as a nurse on completion of their studies. Further information can be found at

Applicants can demonstrate that they meet the English language requirements as below:
1. Primary language Pathway – at least six years of primary and secondary education taught and assessed solely
in English
from a recognised country, including a minimum of two years between Year 7 and Year 12.
2. English language Test Pathway – completion of an accepted English Language test with results demonstrating they
meet the minimum requirements set by the NMBA.
Please provide details below to outline your previous education. Details should be listed chronologically to demonstrate
you have met the Primary language Pathway. The study must be in a recognised country, which includes: Australia,
Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, United Kingdom and the United States of America.
If you have completed an English language test, please provide results to the Admissions Office. If you cannot provide
evidence that meets any of the above English language requirements you will be required to sit an accepted English
language test and achieve the minimum requirement.
