Sidewalk Contractor License
A license issued by this department will expire on the end date of the insurance certificate,
the bond or December 31st, whichever comes first. If, after the expiration of the license,
additional work will be performed by the contractor, a new license application must be
submitted, including the application fee, insurance and bond, as required.
Contractors are advised that a permit obtained without a valid license is null and void, and
the contractor will be in violation of city ordinances and subject to a fine. Continued
violations may result in further fines, up to and including prohibition of future licensing or
permitting.
This Department will issue a Limited Sidewalk Contractor License that will restrict the
licensee to performing work on sidewalks and curbing only. A Geotech/Boring License will
be issued only for work involving the vertical drilling of borings. The standard Sidewalk
Contractor License will be required for all other work within the public right-of-way.
In addition to the application form, the following information must be submitted with the
license application:
