This application shall be completed when a group or organization proposes to perform an organized model
rocketry launch, within the Town of Prosper.
Permission shall be granted to the below-named party/parties to perform a model rocketry launch, per the
constraints of this permit, the 2015 International Fire Code, the Open Burning Ordinance, and NFPA 1122.

Criteria & Guidelines
1.) The Sponsoring Organization will designate a Range and Launch Ignition Safety Officer (RSO).
2.) RSO will be responsible for checking all participants’ parts, recovery device(s), and motor type for adherence
to the permit requirements.
3.) RSO will maintain the launch site free from combustibles; minimum distance from launch platform to
participants is maintained and provides a stable launch platform.
4.) Appropriate safety equipment shall be provided to all participants.
5.) Additional criteria stipulated in the attached Model Rocketry Use Guidelines shall be met.
6.) A site plan/drawing of the proposed launch site area, to include vehicle parking, buildings, obstructions,
launch platform, and roadways, must be completed on Page 2.
