The City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural
Resources Department established the Financial
Assistance Scholarship Fund in 1993 to ensure that no
one is denied the benefits of public recreation due to
the inability to pay. The scholarship fund helps reduce
barriers to participation in recreation programs that
encourage healthy lifestyles, promote self-confidence
and teach life-long lessons. Scholarships are awarded
based on financial need and are offered to support all
who wish to participate in our programs. To make a tax-
deductible donation, please mail a completed form to:
