The Evans Police Department is hosting its annual session of the Citizens Police
Academy (CPA). The CPA promotes community partnerships and is designed to
familiarize Evans’ citizens with the day-to-day operations of their police department.
The CPA is an 9-week program with classes held on Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m.-
9:00 p.m. Participants will attend lectures and discussions on topics to include: crime
scene investigations, traffic enforcement, accident investigation, SWAT, narcotics, less
lethal force, and firearms.
The program is free of charge, but seating is limited to 25, and you must be 18 years of

This academy requires the attendance of nine 3-hour classes on Thursday evenings,
from 6:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m. from March 19th through May 14th, 2020. Additionally, we
have organized a half day class at the range on Saturday, May 9th from 9am-1pm. Do
