CRITERIA
This category covers a person who is aged under 25 and who is undertaking training through
arrangements made under the Employment and Training Act 1973 is a youth training trainee
provided that the arrangements are recognised as an approved training scheme for the
purposes of section 28 of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992.
HOW WE USE THIS INFORMATION
We will use the information you give in this form, and in any supporting evidence you send
us, to process your application.
We pass the information to other agencies or organisations such as Department for Works
and Pensions, Her Majesty’s Revenues and Customs, to detect fraud and error.
We may check information you have provided, or information about you that someone else
has provided, with other information we hold. We may also get information about you from
certain third parties, or give them information, to:
Make sure the information is accura
te;
Prevent or detect crime,
and;
Protect public funds.
We will not give information about you to anyone else, or use information about you for other
purposes, unless required by law or in order to prevent fraud and error.
These third parties may include government departments, local authorities and private-sector
companies such as banks and organisations that may lend money.
