eterans Park is an impressive urban
park that offers a place of tribute and
reection for citizens and visitors to honor
Veterans. Located in downtown Kannapolis,
it is a beautiful community gathering place
for concerts and special events.
Every detail of the park was thoughtfully
designed to recognize those who have
served in the military. The pavement details
of the memorial plaza at the corner of Main
Street and First Street includes a star with
insignia acknowledging the ve branches of
military service. A monument recognizing
all veterans is in the middle of the star
showcased by a bronze wreath.
Brick pathways lead to the fountain plaza
with an eternal ame surrounded by a
granite Ring of Honor. The Ring of Honor
is engraved with over 1,700 names of
the individuals from Rowan and Cabarrus
counties, dating back to the Revolutionary
War, who died in service.
Your contribution goes to support park
improvements.
VETERANS PARK
Individuals and organizations can honor our veterans
by purchasing engraved bricks, which will be installed
throughout the park.
1 BRICK FOR $30 OR 2 BRICKS FOR $50
Sponsor’s name or message is engraved on a 4” x 8” walkway paver.
Each Brick Paver Sponsor also receives a Certicate of Participation.
Inscription guidelines:
16 characters per line including spaces and punctuation marks.
Inscriptions must be noncommercial. Company names may be used. Phone
numbers, email and web addresses, slogans, sales pitches and logos will not be
permitted. Location or placement of brick cannot be guaranteed.
You will receive a conrmation letter in 2-3 weeks to review your imprint for
your paver. The City of Kannapolis reserves the right to refuse printing of any
inscription for any reason at its sole and absolute discretion.
