Students may elect to enroll in certain undergraduate courses for Pass/No Credit rather than an A-F
grade. Students must complete this petition to take a class Pass/No Credit and obtain the approval
of their college before the end of the 15th calendar day of the term* (prorated for summer and
flex sessions).
• Grades of C or better will be changed to PS; grades of C-, D+, D, D– and F will be changed to NC.
• The grades of PS and NC do not affect the grade point average.
• Students should consult their college/department regarding any limitations that may exist for this option.
• Honors College courses, including Honors contracts, may not be taken as Pass/No Credit.
• Undecided students, as a general rule, should not elect Pass/No Credit grading.
• Once the petition has been approved by the college, the student cannot rescind his/her petition.
