Identification of Community Resources
The OTD curriculum is based on a “learn by doing” model where each student is expected to
bring resources from their own setting and experiences. Through the OTD program students will
engage in exploration of additional resources and assemble a strong network. This network of
resources will be utilized in implementation of each student’s professional development plan and
capstone project and will later serve the OTD graduate as they leave the program.
Please provide a listing of the resources you currently have toward achieving your professional
goals.
1. Informational Resources (i.e. Professional organizations, libraries, journals, database
skills…)
2. Settings Resources (i.e. your work, other facilities with which you have a relationship,
nearby universities, research centers…)
3. People Resources list a minimum of three individuals local or known to you who could
assist you in this program with expertise within your practice area of specialization.
Describe how they would support you in your goals.
