Exemplary proposals are complete; all guidelines have
been followed. All sections are thoughtfully, clearly,
and intentionally answered. Application is signed by a
Faculty/Staff Mentor.
Supplemental
Material
Exemplary proposals are accompanied by all required
additional materials (i.e. Budget; Email confirmation
that Animal Care & Use or Approval for Use of
Human Subject(s) is under review).
Plan for
Dissemination
Exemplary proposals include clear and thoughtful
articulation of how applicant will share what they
learned and why they chose their specific audience.
Initiative,
Independence and
Creativity
Exemplary proposals are undoubtedly student-led and
creatively address potentially significant yet previously
less-explored aspects of a phenomena/issue in
focused and manageable ways.

SLO 1: Connection
between Theory
and Practice
Exemplary proposals clearly articulate how the
proposed project helps the applicant achieve SLO.
Applicants provide detailed explanation of what and
how specific theories, readings, concepts, courses,
and/or lived experiences will inform the project.
Appropriate citations are used.
SLO 2: Reflection
Exemplary proposals thoughtfully articulate the
connection between project and personal/professional
growth. Applicants propose plan for active reflection
throughout the experience.
