UDSON COUNTY
GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP
Hudson County Community College was established to provide the people who
reside in our County with the education and skills that will benefit them
economically and socially. The College is constantly evaluating the challenges
and demands of today’s economy and markets creating programs and courses of
study to help our community thrive.
The need for acquiring a college education is a must today. Despite everyone’s
best efforts, the cost for that education is increasing, making it more difficult
for some students to afford. Recognizing this, the
Hudson County
Government Scholarship
was established to provide financial assistance
for students who otherwise would not be able to attend Hudson County
Community College. These scholarships provide financial assistance that
bridges the gap between the College’s tuition and fees and the support available
through other financial aid programs.
Through HCCC, each year the Hudson County Executive and the Board of
Chosen Freeholders award scholarships that provide support for tuition and
fees (after all other appropriate financial aid and scholarships are applied).
These scholarships benefit Hudson County residents who have attained a
record of academic success and want to pursue an associate’s degree at Hudson
County Community College. Each scholarship is renewable for up to three
years, provided the applicant remains in good academic standing.
