WELCOME
Hey There! Im Vernae, and Im extremely
excited that you took the time to take this
course. I created The Business Builder
Guide after starting my company RHEAL
URBAN LLC in 2018. I wasnt sure what
direction I wanted to take my company. Not
only was I confused about exactly what I
wanted my business to stand for, but I also
was at a loss on how to create such an
amazing business.
After a year of falling on my face, I finally
began finding the right tools to structure
my business the proper way. And now I
want to help others who may also be
confused about where to go after deciding
to take the leap into entrepreneurship.
Id met so many entrepreneurs who said
that their passion had just come to them.
Well, I had many passions. So what was I
to do? I first began making custom
clothing with my business partner. But we
didnt seem fulfilled with getting our
message out by just selling custom
clothing. So we began dabbling in real
estate, but still, it didnt seem like we
were being fulfilled. Finally, I decided to
stop and think, I was constantly giving
away information on how I started my
business. And because I truly enjoy
learning about how I can better my
business. I thought, why not continue
providing business information, by voicing
my struggles, and networking with similar
people. Who are those people? New
Entrepreneuers who are also looking to
change their legacy
Thus I birthed The Business Builder Plan.
I wound up trying different ventures that
were all truly a part of me, but they didn’t
quite give me the excitement I was looking
for to continue the work. I was confused.

When I first quit my job I thought "Cool! Now I can be my own boss, this will
be a walk in the park. I could not have been more WRONG. My first mistake
was thinking I could work whenever I felt the need because I was in charge.
In truth, I had to Unlearn and Re-Learn how to manage my time, and how to
structure my workday.

When I began my custom clothing I wanted to express how I felt to the world.
After making my own custom clothing, and a few designs for others I decided to
challenge myself. I still loved creating custom items, but I didnt want to do that
for the next 10 years.

Coming up with a name always seems more difficult than it actually is. The good thing
is you can always add to your name or change it if you truly don’t like it. When
choosing the name RHEAL URBAN I wanted to create something that represented
myself, and my family.
I’m still extremely proud of how we creatively combined our names. But in coming up
with this idea, it birthed a few of our other businesses. And these are companies that
we can proudly pass down to our children, and still be unique to the world.

Most people think they can just start selling,
and that all of their friends and family will just
buy from them. BOY oh BOY. Let me hurt
your feelings right now so that you wont be
shocked later.

I was extremely happy that my grandmother
and mom were buying 40 dollars worth of shirts
from me every other month, but I couldnt tell
my landlord Put $80 toward rent. Hed look
at me like I was stupid.
I even tried making a commercial, but that still
didnt get our sales to what we needed. (insert
video) Dont get me wrong. You will have a few
supportive friends and family members who will
support you.

But Remember youve grown

When you’re selling your product or service, remember education plays a huge part in
whom you’re selling to, and how much they’re willing to pay. Now, I know what you’re
thinking. This only applies to people who have degrees. You’re wrong. This has many ways
of playing in your favor.
Let's talk educational level on a particular topic. This requires no degree at all, and if that
service or product they’ve self-educated themselves on, is in turn worth top dollar you have
a customer who now understands your worth. On the other hand. If you have a customer
who has obtained a degree in said field. They also may willingly pay top dollar for a
product or service that you may offer. Value is based on perspective.
Moral of the story. Know your customer. If you do not study your customer base, you’re
blindly asking people to buy hoping they’ll say yes.

It took me some time to understand my calling, and my big WHY.
