Office of Advancement, Research and Economic Development
The mission of the Division of Advancement, Research and Economic Development at Grambling
State University is to facilitate and encourage financial and other support for the enhancement of the
University’s capacity to fulfill its mission of teaching, research and service. It was for this reason,
that we partnered with KGRM Radio Station and began our efforts to launch the University's
Annual Radiothon. When we first launched this initiative, it was our goal to seek financial support
in order to provide monetary scholarships making it possible for more young men and women to
access the high quality education that Grambling State University is known for around the globe.
Due to the success of the 7th Annual Radiothon, we are pleased to announce that we are now
accepting applications for academic scholarship awards in the amount of $1,000 each for students
attending Grambling State University.
The recipients of this scholarship will receive $1,000 each for the Fall Semester, 2019.
The following criteria will be adhered to:
Cumulative 2.8 GPA
Full-time student; in good standing at GSU
Open to all majors
Open to UNGRADUATES ONLY (2
nd
semester freshmen and above)
Must submit a 500 word essay sharing your specific need and how this scholarship will benefit
you in your future endeavors
Include proof/documentation of community service hours
You can submit your application and other documents along with an essay by mail or email
(incomplete packets will not be considered):
