SPACE COAST FLORIDA CHAPTER
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
ELIGIBILITY
In order to apply for a Space Coast Florida Chapter NAWIC Scholarship, applicants must meet
all of the following eligibility requirements:
1.) Applicant must be female.
2.) Applicant must reside in Brevard County, Florida and be a U.S. citizen.
3.) Applicant must attend a University, Trade School, or Institution.
4.) Applicant must be a High School Senior or College Freshman, Sophomore or Junior.
5.) Applicant must be enrolling in or already enrolled in a course of study directly related to
the construction industry. (Examples: civil engineering, construction technology,
construction management, surveying, CAD drafting & design, etc.)
6.) Members of the National Association of Women in Construction and their immediate
family members are not eligible for this scholarship.
IMPORTANT DATES
1.) All applications must be received by the NAWIC Chapter #355 Scholarship Committee
on or before 5:00 pm on April 15
th
, late applications will not be considered.
Scholarship recipients will be notified on or before April 25th.
AWARDS
1.) All applicants selected as finalists may be subject to a personal interview with the
Scholarship Committee.
2.) Scholarships are not automatically renewed. Previous recipients may re-apply on an
annual basis and will be given equal consideration with all other applicants.
DISBURSEMENT OF SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS
1.) The amount of each Scholarship shall be no less than $1,000.00, amount to be determined
by vote of the Board of Directors of NAWIC Chapter #355.
2.) Recipient must provide proof of acceptance/enrollment in order to receive scholarship
funds.
3.) Scholarship funds will be issued to the school for the recipient to be credited towards
tuition, fees, and required text books.
