8BSeveral scholarship awards are offered by NOBLE each year through the National
Office and several of the local chapters.
FROM THE NATIONAL OFFICE: The Irlet Anderson, Charles Fonseca and the Bernard and
Sylvia Davis Thompson Scholarship Awards are one-time scholarships awarded to high school
seniors.
The NOBLE scholarship recipients are recognized during NOBLE’s Annual Training
Conference being held July 24 – July 29, 2020 at the Huntington Cleveland Convention Ctr,
Cleveland, OH.
Applications may be obtained from the National Office or online at the NOBLE website at
NOBLE National Scholarship program.
ELIGIBILITY:
• Must be a current high school senior who will receive a diploma prior to the award
announcement (before July 2020)
• Must be pursuing a degree in any of the Social Sciences, including technology, forensic
investigation and other criminal investigative studies and be committed to a career in law
enforcement or criminal justice
• Must be accepted to an accredited academic institution (proof of acceptance will be required)
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must display a need for financial help
• Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.8 or higher
• Must complete and submit the following by Wednesday, April 15, 2020
1. An Application Form
2. School Transcript
3. Two Letters of Recommendation
4. A type-written one-page essay authored by the applicant stating career goals
and interests and reasons why you should receive this law enforcement
award.
