This certificate curriculum prepares individuals for employment in the automotive service
industry as an engine, automatic trans/transaxle, manual trans/transaxle, and driveline
repair technician. The curriculum also prepares individuals for ASE A-1 (Engine Repair), A-2
(Automatic Transmission/Transaxle), and A-3 (Manual Drive Train and Axles) automobile
technician certification exams. Credits may be applied to the automotive technology AAS.
This certificate is a career program and may not readily transfer to four year colleges/universities (except in special cases.)
