MOBILE FOOD UNITS
Mobile Food Units, including food trucks, carts, and pushcarts, can be permitted within the City of Tualatin as
regulated by Tualatin Municipal Code 9-10.
General Requirements:
Must be on private property and have permission to operate from the property owner
Only one mobile food unit per site at a time
Must be parked on a paved surface and not interfere with the safe passage of vehicles, bikes, and pedestrians
Must obtain a valid Tualatin Business License
Must obtain health and sanitary licenses from Washington and/or Clackamas County
Must be in a zone that allows a mobile food unit or pushcart as applicable (see chart below):

Not allowed within areas of the Commercial Office zone
that are within 200 feet of the Central Commercial zone
Not allowed within 200 feet of existing restaurant or
fruit/vegetable market unless written consent obtained
from proprietor
Not allowed within 100 feet of a gas station No larger than six feet long
Must be designed to be pushed or pulled by a person

Application requirements:

☐ Property owner consent letter with signature
☐ Application fee (see current fee schedule)
☐ Proof of health and sanitary license
☐ For pushcarts proposed within 200 feet of a restaurant, or fruit and vegetable market, include letter of consent
from all business owner(s) within 200-foot radius
☐ Site plan showing:
A scaled site plan or aerial map of the entire property where the food unit will be located
Where the food unit will be located on the site (must be on a paved surface)
Nearby pedestrian pathways, driveways, and property lines
