A general alarm was dispatched to the above address for an apartment fire. Upon arrival, Engine 8
announced that there was a fire in unit 4 and that all occupants had been evacuated. Firefighters quickly
searched the other seven units of this eight unit building. No one was in need of rescue, however, one
occupant of unit 4 was taken to a nearby hospital. Her condition was not believed to be life threatening.
The fire was extinguished in about eleven minutes and it was confined to unit 4. Other units sustained
some smoke damage.
The cause is believed to be accidental but the investigation is ongoing.
