Dear Pupils
Please see below an email that was sent to parents today.
We look forward to welcoming all pupils back to school tomorrow - albeit online for Grades 8-12.
Grade 7s will have in-person orientation on campus tomorrow. The details of this orientation have been sent in a separate
email.
In these difficult and testing times, our teachers are motivated and working hard to produce an excellent online learning
experience for our pupils. Grade Heads will be communicating within the course of the day to give a more detailed layout
of the plans going forward.
Tomorrow, Grade 7s will meet in the Junior High hall at 08h30.
All other Grades will have online assemblies at 08h25 with respective Grade Heads. These will be followed by pupils'
mentor meetings online. During the mentor meetings pupils will receive information regarding their classes,
lessons/timetables, online learning and all related administration. After the mentor meetings, there will be a short break,
followed by the start of the academic programme.
Please find attached the programme for the start of term tomorrow.
Further communication regarding teaching and learning and the arrangements for Wednesday 20th January will be
sent tomorrow. The full teaching programme will begin on Wednesday. All lessons will take place, however the lesson
times have been reduced for online learning purposes based on our experiences from last year. The teaching timetable
will remain the same as published. Pupils will receive their class timetables tomorrow from Greadheads/Mentors. There
will be NO changes to the timetables. We will have 5 lessons a day as per the timetable. The bell times have been
adjusted for online learning in accordance with best practice.
