Indian Peaks Wilderness Permit Application
Complete one form per trip (one or mulitple consecut
ive nights) in its entirety to receive a permit
A $5.00 permit is required for each backpacking trip per group for overnight camping in the Indian Peaks Wilderness
Area between June 1 and September 15. The fee covers the group and the Arapaho National Recreation Area use fee.
Day and overnight permits are required year round for Outfitters/Guides and large groups (8 to 12 people). Inquire by
calling either the Boulder or Sulphur Ranger District offices at the numbers listed below.
To receive a permit in person with cash, check or card: print and complete this application and bring it to the Boulder
or Granby office with your $5.00 per trip payment.
Mailed applications are also acceptable. Please send in the completed application(s) with one check or money order
made payable to USDA Forest Service. Mail to either address below.
Allow two weeks to receive your permit by mail.
