MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
Please choose the category that best describes your company’s primary area of business. IA dues are not deductible as charitable contributions for income
tax purposes. However, they may be deductible under other provisions of the Internal Revenue Code. Less than 2% of company dues are used for lobbying
efforts. Associate and individual dues are not used for lobbying. In addition, $16.50 of dues from landscape-focused members will go toward a subscription
to Irrigation & Green Industry magazine.

or more components of irriation, drainae and erosion
control equipment or related peripheral products.
Dealers represent the ariculture industry. Distributors
represent the turf-landscape industry.
Manufacturers’ Representative*: Servin as a
manufacturers’ representative of irriation products
Contractor*: Actively installin/servicin one or more
components of irriation, drainae and erosion control
equipment or related peripheral products
Consultant*: Providin consultin services for the
enineerin, desin, layout, use or application of
irriation, drainae and erosion control equipment or
landscapin, or providin other consultin services
primarily to the reen industry
Affiliate Organization*: Association or society
operatin on a state, reional or international level to
promote irriation industry interests
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
Manufacturer – Complementary Products: Actively manufacturin and/or sellin one or
more components in cateories such as water features, pond products, lihtin products and
publications
Business Consultant: A consulting firm that provides business services to the irrigation and
green industry (e.g., business management, marketing, training, accounting, etc.). Two letters
of reference from current IA member companies must accompany this application.
Business Supplier: A company that serves or supplies the irriation industry with business
services (e.., business software, finance, leasin, insurance, communication, recruitment,
advertisin, etc.)
Water & Energy Agency: Public or private aency or company that supplies, distributes or
administers water or enery for use in irriation
Commercial End User: Oranization that uses irriation systems (e.., rower, producer,
farm, nursery, reenhouse, olf course, sports facility, homeowner’s association, commercial
park, museum, cemetery, resort, etc.)
University/Government: Accredited university; collee or community collee; or federal,
state or city/county overnment aency
INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP
Retired/Retired Lifetime: Individual no loner employed in the irriation industry
Student: Individual enrolled in underraduate or raduate level courses at a technical school,
collee, university or similar institution of hiher learnin; current class schedule must be
submitted with application
Technical/Technical Lifetime*: University or overnment personnel involved in irriation
research related to the enineerin, desin, layout, use or application of irriation
equipment; or collee/university faculty or instructor
Unemployed: Individual in the irriation industry temporarily unemployed; available for a
one-year period, not prorated, nonrenewable
