SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Scholarship Criteria:
1. A dependent of an active (dues are current), lifetime or deceased lifetime
member of Wyoming Peace Officers Association regardless of field of study
and who will be attending any college, university or technical school.
• Recipients must carry a full-time status of twelve (12) semester credit hours
or more and must satisfactorily complete (12) hours for the fall semester to
be eligible for the spring stipend. Satisfactory completion is defined as a
“C’ (2.0) grade point average or better.
2. Any Wyoming resident enrolled (majoring) in a law enforcement program at
UW or a Wyoming Community College.
• Recipients must carry a full-time status of twelve (12) semester credit hours
or more and must satisfactorily complete (12) hours for the fall semester to
be eligible for the spring stipend. Satisfactory completion is defined as a
“C” (2.0) grade point average or better.
3. Any active or retired Wyoming law enforcement officer enrolled in a law
enforcement major at UW or a Wyoming Community College on a full-time or
part-time basis.
• Applicants must be a current member of the Wyoming Peace Officers
Association.
4. Any pre-service student who has successfully completed or who will
successfully complete a peace officer basic course or detention officer basic
course offered by the Wyoming Law Academy.
• Applicants, if employed by a law enforcement agency at the time of
application must be a current member of the Wyoming Peace Officers
Association. Upon receipt of a certificate of successful completion of the
peace officer basic course or detention officer basic course and the Student
Evaluation Form.
Application Process:
1. Complete this form and return it to the LCCC Scholarships and Financial Aid
Office no later than April 1.
2. Submit with this application a brief statement on your academic and career
goals.
3. Submit a copy of your most recent transcript.
