Residency FAQs
• Wildacres Retreat offers artist residencies at no charge to qualified candidates. There is a $25 non-refundable application fee.
• Your residency is good for the year it is awarded. If you are unable to attend, you may re-apply for another residency, but we
are unable to carry residencies over to subsequent years.
• Each residency cabin is self-catering so residents have the option to prepare their own meals.
• If guests are at the retreat and we are serving meals, residents are welcome to join us for meals in the dining hall. We will let
you know prior to arriving for your residency if there is a chance the dining hall would be closed, so you can plan ahead. Those
situations are rare.
• Residents are responsible for their own transportation to and from Wildacres Retreat, as well as while they are in residence.
The retreat is unable to assist with transportation.
• Residents are responsible to provide any supplies and equipment they may need for their proposed residency.
• Please be sure your contact information is accurate and up-to-date so our review committee can contact you if they have any
questions.
• The application deadline is November 1st. No applications will be accepted after that date. Residency decisions will be made
and we will begin contacting candidates at the start of February.
• We recommend you save a copy of your application before sending a copy along with any attachments to us at
wildacres@wildacres.org.
• After submitting your application, please use the link on our residency program page to submit your non-refundable $25
application fee. You will receive an email acknowledging receipt of your application and payment of your fee.
