SIGN PROGRAM APPLICATION
I. GENERAL INFORMATION: This application must be filled out completely, accurately, and
submitted as an original to the Planning and Zoning Division; an incomplete application will not be processed.
Print legibly (in ink) or type all information. In addition to the original, provide a copy of the completed
application as part of the submittal, and pay the applicable fee as adopted by the City Commission. This
process is further described in Chapter 2, Article II, Section 2.E of the Land Development Regulations.

II. MANDATORY PLANS: The applicant shall be required to submit to the Planning and Zoning
Division, 12 sets of each of the following (on sheets no larger than 11” by 17”), unless the application is
processed administratively, in which case only four (4) sets are required:
A. ARCHITECTURAL ELEVATIONS: The drawings shall clearly illustrate all project signage (in
color), and include proposed font(s), style(s), and material(s) used. All sign dimensions shall be shown,
including the height of all freestanding signs. With respect to wall signs, the drawings shall indicate the
proposed location of each sign and / or sign band, and the color(s) of the building façade on which the
wall signs will be affixed. Additional detail sheets may be required to provide sign details at a scale that
fully illustrates the proposed colors, fonts, styles, and materials. A tabular summary shall be included
with the submittal, indicating the linear building dimensions, maximum allowable signage area (based
upon the calculations), and the proposed cumulative sign area.
B. SITE PLAN: A site plan or scaled drawing shall be required when freestanding signs are proposed and
/ or when the site consists of multiple buildings. For the purposes of this application, the term “site plan”
is construed to include any scaled drawing. When required, the site plan shall clearly illustrate the
proposed locations of all freestanding signs. The site plan shall indicate the distance between signs and
adjacent property lines, where applicable, to ensure that setbacks comply with the sign code and cross-
visibility and safe-sight requirements.
