WHEN APPLYING FOR PERMITS: IF VALUE OF WORK IS $2,500 OR TO REPLACE OR REPAIR
EXISTING HEATING OR A/C SYSTEMS OVER $7,500 (713.135 (D))
1. Pick up Notice of Commencement form from Department of Development, Building Division, West Wing of City of
Boynton Beach City Hall complex.
2. Fill out Notice of Commencement form.
3. Owner must sign notice of Commencement form.
4. Owner’s signature must be NOTARIZED on Notice of Commencement form.
5. Take Notice of Commencement form to a Palm Beach County Courthouse.*
6. Have Notice of Commencement RECORDED and CERTIFIED BY CLERK AT COUNTY COURTHOUSE.
7. Bring ORIGINAL CERTIFIED RECORDED Notice of Commencement back to the City of Boynton
Beach, Department of Development, Building Division.
8. Retain a copy of Recorded and Certified Notice of Commencement with the permit card at job site.
Stipulations regarding inspections:
a. Permits will be issued without N.O.C. However, no inspections will be made until a notarized affidavit as to the
recording of N.O.C. and a copy of N.O.C. has been received, which will allow first inspection only OR:
b. Original Certified copy of Recorded N.O.C. is received in our office.
c. NO inspections will be performed on work requiring only one (1) inspection until item “B” above is satisfied.
