PROGRAM OF STUDY COURSE REVALIDATION
If coursework has been completed more than 6 years prior to submission of the program of study
and is not part of an earned degree it is recommended to be included on a student’s program of
study, a revalidated plan including this form must be submitted with the program of study. The
courses must be revalidated the semester the student graduates or prior to the last semester.
Documentation of revalidation must be submitted with the final examination ballot.
The following methods of revalidation or combinations of methods are acceptable:
a. retake the class for which the content has significantly changed
b. require the student to complete a project relevant to the course content
c. passing an examination specifically covering the current course material
d. Industrial and professional experiences which demonstrates knowledge of courses content must be
accompanied with document explaining how the student had to maintain educational requirements for
licensure or professional credential(s).
e. assessing during the final MS oral examination that student’s knowledge of the course content is current and
up to date
