MILITARY HONOR – A student, who received the Purple Heart or other combat
decoration superior in precedence, is eligible to receive the Military Honor Waiver.
The student must be enrolled in an undergraduate program of study leading to a
degree or certificate. The waiver is applicable for 110 percent of the number of
required credit hours of the degree or certificate program for which the student is
enrolled. At the time of awarding of combat decoration the student was a resident
of Florida, or currently resides in Florida whose home of record at the time of
military action was another state. Student must submit DD-214 as documentation. If
DD-214 is not available, other documentation may be acceptable if recognized by
United States DoD or Veteran Affairs as documenting the award.
I understand that any falsification of information provided to University of West Florida to receive this waiver may
result in schedule cancellation and other disciplinary action.
