Lincoln University Women of the Year 2020-2021
Women’s Center Mission Statement
The Lincoln University Women’s Center promotes and assists students in making healthy,
positive lifestyle choices in six dimensions of human development: spiritual, physical,
intellectual, cultural, emotional, and social. The Women’s Center provides programs and
activities that result in self-empowerment. The direction of the Center’s programs is driven by
the input and needs of the campus and community.
Applications
The Nominations Committee of Lincoln University Women’s Center announces nominations for
2020 Women of the Year. Applications are for freshman, sophomore, and junior women who
exhibit the following characteristics:
● Demonstrates leadership and
service
● Respects herself and others
● Is honest and personable
● Is reliable and accountable
● Is scholarly
● Exudes confidence and
integrity
● Is resourceful
● Presents herself appropriately
in dress and attitude
● Is motivated and can
motivate others
● Takes pride in being an LU
student
● Possesses strong work ethic
Each candidate is asked to submit information on how they exude the characteristics of a Lincoln
University woman. A candidate can also be nominated by someone else. Letters of
recommendation are encouraged. An application is mandatory.
Should you have any questions contact Rachel Manson at 484-365-7244. The deadline to submit
applications will be 3/9/20. Winners will be notified by 3/17/20.

Lincoln University empowers women to become leaders in the community. Applicants are
scholarly as demonstrated by their achievement of a GPA of 3.0 or better and have participated
in community service with a desire to Learn. Liberate. and Lead.
