GENERAL NOTES
1. CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE ALL CONCRETE AND BITUMINOUS IN THE
HATCHED AREA, BUT SHALL NOT DISTURB THE STONE WALL SOUTH OF THE
BUILDING.
2. CONTRACTOR MAY HAVE TO CUT CONCRETE SLAB NEAR THE STONE WALL
SO THE WALL SHALL NOT BE DISTURBED.
3. CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL A 6 MIL VAPOR BARRIER AND FOAM BOARD IN
CRAWL SPACE OF THE SOUTH WING.
4. AFTER ALL MATERIALS ARE REMOVED, CONTRACTOR SHALL CONCRETE
SHUT AND SEAL THE VENT HOLES (3) IN THE FOUNDATION OF THE SOUTH
WING OF THE BUILDING AS TO NOT ALLOW ANY MOISTURE TO ENTER THE
CRAWL SPACE.
5. AFTER VENT HOLES ARE SEALED AND DRY, CONTRACTOR SHALL IMPORT 1
INCH MINUS AGGREGATE BASE COURSE AND FILL ALL AREAS OF CONCRETE
REMOVAL. FINISHED ELEVATION OF COMPACTED IN PLACE AGGREGATE AT
THE BUILDING SHALL BE 501.3' (3 INCHES BELOW SIDING ELEVATION).
6. ALL AGGREGATE SHALL BE SLOPED AWAY FROM THE BUILDING.
7. AGGREGATE SHALL BE PLACED IN NO MORE THAN 6 INCH LIFTS, AND
COMPACTED USING A VIBRATORY PLATE COMPACTOR, MAKING A MINIMUM
OF 4 PASSES ON EACH LIFT.
8. THE EXTENT OF THE AGGREGATE SHALL EXTEND TO THE EXTENTS OF
CONCRETE REMOVAL, AND SHALL MATCH THE EXISTING GROUND
ELEVATIONS.
9. ALL DISTURBED AREAS OF GROUND SHALL BE RE-SHAPED TO ALLOW
ADEQUATE DRAINAGE AND SEEDED AND MULCHED.
10. ALL UNSUITABLE MATERIALS SHALL BE DISPOSED OF OFF GOVERNMENT
PROPERTY, AND SHALL BE INCIDENTAL TO PAY ITEM NO. 3.
