The Federal Direct Graduate PLUS (GradPLUS) Loan may be available to graduate
and/or professional students. Information regarding the GradPLUS is available on our
website at www.isu.edu/financialaid. To request a GradPLUS loan, you must return

INSTRUCTIONS: If you are a graduate student, you may be eligible to borrow through the Federal Direct Graduate PLUS
(GradPLUS) Loan program. You must have filed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before applying
for this loan.
Other important information:
! Applicants for the Federal GradPLUS Loan must not have an adverse credit history, as reported by a national credit
reporting agency. Applicants with an adverse credit history may still qualify with an eligible co-signer.
! Repayment begins within 60 days after the last disbursement of the award year. There is no six-month grace period.
Borrowers may request a deferment while enrolled at least half-time.
! Interest rate information is available at studentaid.ed.gov/interest

! Your GradPLUS eligibility is limited to your cost of attendance (the financial aid budget) minus any other financial aid
you receive.
! A GradPLUS Master Promissory Note must be completed and signed the first time you borrow.
! A GradEntrance Interview must be completed the first time you borrow before loan proceeds can be

). Please contact the Office of Financial Aid at the number listed above with any questions.
CERTIFICATION: The person signing below certifies that all of the information reported is complete
and correct and authorizes the ISU Office of Financial Aid to obtain all credit checks required for
approval of the GradPLUS. If approved for this loan, the borrower gives Idaho State University
permission to use the proceeds of this loan to pay any direct educational charges (tuition, registration
fees, university and housing charges) for the student named above.
