REQUIREMENTS FOR PERMIT:(Code of Ordinances 405.600 – 405.640)
1. Two (2) copies of an image/rendering of type of fence;
2. Two (2) copies of a survey or plot plan showing the location of the fence (and gates) on the property;
3. Processing fee of $25.00 for residential fence.
• All fence components shall stay on or within property lines.
• The finished side shall face out from the enclosed area.
• Fences cannot be constructed in front of a building. On a corner lot, the structure may not extend beyond the building
line or encroach the sight distance triangle of the yard adjacent to the two (2) streets.
• Fences may not exceed six (6) feet in height.
• Installation of fencing may not disturb existing drainage patterns/ swales.
• If proposed fencing surrounds a swimming pool, must apply for Building Permit with St. Louis County
(Municipal Approval Application needed)
• Contact Dig-Rite at 800-344-7483 prior to any digging.

Must call the Planning and Zoning Department when completed, for final inspection.
