STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
A completed Scholarship Packet must be submitted for each scholarship for which you are
applying. For example, if you apply for two (2) scholarships, you MUST PRINT OUT AND SUBMIT
TWO (2) SCHOLARSHIP PACKETS, SO EACH SPONSOR WILL HAVE ONE TO READ.
In addition, PLEASE SUBMIT ONE (1) ADDITIONAL copy of the STUDENT INFORMATION
page for administrative purposes.
Each completed Scholarship Packet, for each scholarship should be stapled with the following items,
in this order:
1) Student Information Page
(2 copies)
2)
signed and dated
3)
Record
4) Letter of Recommendation #1
Letter of Recommendation #2
5) Any additional essay or special requirements as listed for
specific scholarship(s)
6) Transcript
Place the additional copy of the Student Information page on
top of the two stapled packets and paper clip all together.
Submission of Application: Your completed application may be submitted to your high school
college/career center if you attend Armijo, Fairfield, F-S Public Safety Academy, Matt Garcia Career &
College Academy, Rodriguez, Sem Yeto, Travis Education Center, or Vanden High Schools.

HELPFUL HINTS FOR TH E APPLICANT
1. A .pdf Student Scholarship Application Packet is available at ww.assist-a-grad.org
2. The school transcript submitted with your application should be an unofficial copy.
3. Two (2) Letters of Recommendation should be submitted using the form provided as a
guideline. The form is provided for convenience only. A letter may be submitted, as long as it
contains appropriate letterhead. All letters should be signed and dated by the writer. Start
asking for
these early, so that the individual has sufficient time to write the best letter for you. These
pages are meant to be given to someone else for completion and then should be returned to you
and attached to your completed application prior to submittal.
4. Make sure that you sign and date your completed
form.
5. Your cumulative, weighted G.P.A., should be exactly as it appears on your transcript.
6. Add any additional essays or requirements specific to the scholarships for which you are
applying. If a particular scholarship requests an additional essay, include the scholarship name
as the heading. The difference between essays and statements is that an essay needs to be
separate from any other form, and a statement is to be included as part of your Assist-A-Grad
Personal Statement.
