ideas for creating your editable games are on the next page of this
PDF.

1. Open the PDF document with the most recent version of Adobe Reader. An
older version may work just fine for you. But if you are having trouble, it might
be that you need the most recent version.
2. To use the same font, go to
Teachers Pay Teachers and log in. Download and
install KG Primary Penmanship 2 from Kimberly Geswein to your computer (free
for personal use).

available
here.
2. Open your file finder and right click (or double click) on the file in your

Ideas for Using the Games
Word Mazes:
p. 5 Use for sight words. Type the featured sight word in the
editable field at the top of the page. Make a path from start to finish
by typing the correct spelling of the sight word. In the other circles,
type variations of the sight word. For example, if your learner is
working on
they
, variations could be
thy
,
the
,
them
,
htey
,
thay
, etc.
p. 6 Use for phonics words. Type a featured phonics word in the
editable field at the top of the page. Make a path from start to finish
by typing words that have the same vowel sound and/or vowel
pattern. In the other circles, type other phonics words or sight words
that dont have that vowel sound.
Example 1: If you type
hat
as your featured phonics word, other
words that have the same vowel PATTERN could be
bag
,
lap
, or
mat
.
Words that do NOT have the same sound could be
dog
,
hit
, or
hot
.
Example 2: If you type
eat
as your featured phonics word, other
words that have the same vowel SOUND (long
e
) could be
bead
,
key
, or
Pe te
. With this example, youre going for the same sound, not
necessarily the same visual pattern.
