THE PROCESS AND DEADLINES ARE AS FOLLOWS FOR MARE STUDENTS:
1. Initial declaration of intention by the student and conferring with his or her academic advisor;
2. Student shall meet with MACE Degree Coordinator for advisement and obtain a new projected Plan of Studies
3. Student shall issue a new autobiographical essay, this time commenting on his or her decision to change into the
MACE
4. Student shall fill a Statement of Total Program Completion and obtain a MACE advisor from the MACE Degree
Office
5. Student shall add a copy of his or her ITC transcript with a minimum 3.0 GPA accumulated, or, if , add a letter of
support from the MDiv advisor commenting on the student’s below 3.0 GPA and supporting the application to
move to the MACE.
6. A sample of best academic writing produced in the MDIV is required.
7. Student shall complete the Change of Degree Program/Track Form, add all previous documents and submit
application process to the MACE Office
8. The Degree Coordinator will convene the MACE Department and analyze the application. A decision must be
reached by the end of the last day of school of the semester in which the application was made.
APPLICATION FEE
Complete the application form. Make a copy for yourself and forward the original form to the Office of Admission. Please
include the $50.00 non-refundable application fee.
STATEMENT OF TOTAL PROGRAM COMPLETION
Your Statement of Total Program Completion is an initial and crucial document to assist you in being successful in this MA in
Christian Education Program. You are to indicate what you want to accomplish, an initial project/thesis focus and how you
want to accomplish this with the resources of our curriculum and the overall ITC academic resources. Use the specific form
available from the Admissions or from the MA in Christian Education Office to guide you in preparing your statement.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ONLY
Please complete the enclosed Summary of Education Record and Financial Certification Form. The Financial Certification Form must
be accompanied by the appropriate documents indicating amount of support. If your native language is not English, you are required
to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language and Test of Written English (TOEFL) as administered by the Educational Testing
Service (ETS) of Princeton, New Jersey. ETS can be contact at (609) 921-9000 and/or etsinfo@ets.org or www.toefl.org.
1. Academic History Documentation: Submit official transcripts, matriculation certificates, mark sheets, and/or diplomas with
English translation from your undergraduate/graduate school(s) to World Education Services (WES) or any NACES organization
member for a course-by-course evaluation. An official evaluation of your academic history will be sent by WES to The
Interdenominational Theological Center – Admissions Office. Please complete the Application for Evaluation of Internalized
Educational Credentials. The application is available online at www.wes.org.
2. English Proficiency Requirements: The Interdenominational Theological Center requires proof that you have sufficient knowledge
of the English language to succeed in your program of study. You must provide proof of English language proficiency before you can
be admitted. Provide official scores of at least 550 (paper-based on the Test of English as a Foreign Language [TOEFL]), 213
(computer-based), or 78-80 (Internet-based). Have the official test scores sent directly from the English Testing Services to The
Interdenominational Theological Center (institution code #XXXX). Test scores cannot be more than two years old. Registration
material for the test may be obtained at the TOEFL website: www.toefl.org
3. Financial Guarantee Form: When attending ITC on an F-1 student visa, all financial requirements must be proven in order for ITC
to issue the immigration document I-20 form. The ITC Financial Guarantee Form must be completed fully, including the following:
Signature of applicant with understanding of cost of education.
Signature of Affidavit and understanding of cost of education by the Guarantor.
Signature and Seal of the financial institution of the Guarantor. If the institution is unable to sign the Financial
Guarantee Form, a letter from the institution on letterhead with seal and signature is required, verifying the
financial ability of the Guarantor.
