Application Instructions
1. Complete Chemeketa’s web admission form at applyonline.chemeketa.edu (indicate fall 2020 as
starting term). Please complete an admission application even if you are already a Chemeketa
student.
2. Submit complete Chemeketa Scholars application packet between March 9–13, 2020
(see application packet requirements below).

Application packets will be accepted at the Yamhill Valley Campus only on March 6, 2020, 8 am–5 pm and
applications will be accepted only at the Salem Campus during the application week, 9-13, 2020, 8 am–5 pm.
Incomplete or late application packets will not be accepted. No exceptions will be made. Submit your completed

Eligibility Requirements
In order to qualify for this scholarship, applicants must –
High School Students
1. Attend high school in, or be a permanent resident of, Chemeketa’s district.
2. Earn a cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.50 or better (as of first semester/quarter grades of final year of
high school). Your transcript must show your expected graduation date or class of 2020.
3. Take Chemeketa’s placement test (may substitute Smarter Balanced scores) and earn minimum placement
into Reading 115, Writing 115, and Math 095.
4. Enroll full-time (12-18 credits) at Chemeketa the fall term that immediately follows high school graduation.
Home School Students
1. Reside permanently within Chemeketa’s district.
2. Be a registered home school student with the Willamette Education Service District (WESD).
3. Earn ACT composite score of 27 or SAT combined score of 1270 in the Evidence-Based Reading and
Writing plus Math tests
4. Take Chemeketa’s placement test and earn minimum placement into Reading 115, Writing 115, and Math
095.
5. Enroll full-time (12-18 credits) at Chemeketa the fall term immediately after completing high school
requirements.
Military Veterans
1. Meet above High School or Home School requirements.
2. Joined the military within three months of graduating from high school.
3. Enroll at Chemeketa within six months of military discharge.
