AFFIDAVIT FOR TRANSFER OF EXEMPTION TO OR FROM SPOUSE
Nevada Revised Statutes 371.103 and 371.104 allows a veteran to transfer the exemption from the Governmental Services Tax in the
veteran’s name to his or her current spouse; a veteran may also revoke this exemption transfer. A veteran wishing to transfer this
exemption to his or her spouse must annually file this affidavit of transfer with the Department along with the exemption voucher issued
by the county assessor’s office. You must provide proof of marriage and sign this affidavit of transfer before either;
1) An authorized DMV employee, or
2) A notary public.
