Purpose - The purpose of this registration is to allow the City of Temple to
communicate the current brush collection policies of the City and make sure the
tree trimmers know the disposal alternatives provided to them by the City.
As of October 1, 2006, brush will be collected two (2) times per month from each
residence. On the two specified collection days, homeowners will be allowed to put
at the curb a maximum of six (6) cubic yards of brush and bulk items.
Homeowners will be charged –
(1) For the excess over six (6) cubic yards put out on their specified
collection days and/or
(2) For any brush and/or bulk items put at the curb at any time other
than the day before or the
day of their scheduled collection day.
Please work with homeowners to minimize the charges.
You may call Solid Waste Services at (254) 298-5725 for information on current
brush disposal sites.
Commercial tree trimmers will be allowed to dispose of clean brush free of charge
at the Temple landfill or for a fee of $1.00 per cubic yard at the Temple-Belton
Wastewater Treatment Plan on Highway 93 (see attached map).
