any undergraduate degree.
Legacy Scholarships honor Paula A. Stopera for her
contributions as CAP COM’s longtime President/CEO,
Weidner “Ed” Davis as a founding father of CAP COM, and
Ed Gilligan as a former CAP COM FCU Board President.
Essay Question
You are required to spend the next year of your life in either
the past or the future. What year would you travel to and
why?

For high school seniors or students through age 25 pursuing
a degree in computer science or information technology.
The Technology Scholarship honors former board member
Art Goedeke, who had a passion for technology and
computer science.
Essay Question
With virtual learning becoming our new norm, what do you
feel we still need from a technology aspect that is currently
missing? This can be something you feel personally would be
helpful or something you think others would benefit from in a
learning environment.

To be eligible for any of these scholarships, you must be a member of CAP COM Federal Credit Union when you submit your application.
Winners of scholarships granted by the CAP COM Cares Foundation within the past two years are not eligible. Students are encouraged to
apply for all scholarships for which they are eligible. Each applicant is limited to one scholarship per year. Full-time and part-time employees of
CAP COM and its subsidiaries, volunteers, and their immediate families are not eligible. Seasonal or temporary employees who are members
of CAP COM are eligible to apply. Essays must be 500 words or fewer. If an essay is longer, judges will only read the first 500 words. All
application material must be received by April 30, 2021. All applicants will be notified of our decision by May 31, 2021.
For Legacy Scholarships, you must be at least a graduating high school senior through the age of 25 and must be studying or planning to
study for an undergraduate degree.
For Technology Scholarship, you must be at least a graduating high school senior through the age of 25 and pursuing a degree in computer
science or information technology.
For Trade Scholarships, you must be at least a graduating high school senior through the age of 25 and enrolled in a trade school.
For Reinvestment into Learning Scholarships, you must be at least age 26 and pursuing an undergraduate degree.
