1. Equipment Location and Clearances
a. Equipment is built per electrical diagram in accordance with SRP's DGIH. Device
locations are according to site plan.
b. Service entrance section, disconnect switch and meter sockets are accessible and
adjacent within 10' of each other without a visual obstruction unless signage is provided
(see DGIH Section 2-5-5 Note10) for labeling requirements.
c. Disconnect switches and meter sockets maintain proper clearances and work space.
d. Center of all meter sockets are located between 4' and 6'3" from the final grade.
a. Meter Socket meets specifications (are on SRP's pre-approved list). Disconnect
clearance to operate handle and door required.
b. Meter sockets and/or disconnect switches are not used as a raceway for wiring or
communication cables to other components.
c. Disconnect switches and meter sockets are securely attached to the wall or structure.
3. Wiring & Taps
a. No load taps exist between the dedicated DER meter and the DER generation or
storage system unless an open transition switching scheme exists between the
DER system and SRP's grid. See Scheme Setups in DGIH.
b. A
ll/Any taps do not result in any modifications to any factory installed equipment
and/or components, unless expressly authorized by manufacturer and/or listing agency
and performed in strict accordance with the manufacturer's directions/specifications.
c. Supply-side Tap two piece and Load Side Tap connections shall be made with a mole
bar assembly connector (e.g., Utilico, Homac, Polaris or equivalent) designed and rated
for this application. Supply-side taps not allowed on all-in-one service equipment unless
re-listed.
4. Labeling complies with DGIH 2-5-4 through 2-5-6, Contractor-Supplied Material Section.
5. COMMISIONING REQUIREMENT
1.System Test - Sequence of Operation provided with original submittal (20kW and
Higher systems only).
2. System polarity and meter rotation verified as correct.
3. Backfeed test performed and confirms no backfeed.
