SCHOLARSHIP / GRANT AGREEMENT

To receive the scholarship, you must enroll as a full-time undergraduate student during each semester that the scholarship
is in effect. The scholarship provides support for eight consecutive semesters (summer terms are excluded). To renew this
scholarship, you must maintain the required cumulative Grade Point Average (see above) calculated at the end of each
spring term and you must earn at least 24 semester hours at the end of each academic year.
As a recipient of this prestigious award, you understand and/or agree to the following:
Full-time enrollment; maximum 18 hours each semester. Hours over 18 will not be covered by this award.
While Study Abroad is highly encouraged, institutional awards (listed above, including endowed awards) cannot
be applied toward Study Abroad programs.
Institutional funds can only be used for coursework taken at Dillard University and/or University approved
Consortium Institutions.
All applicable fees (such as, mandatory fees, housing maintenance fee, student assessment fee, lab fees, etc.) are
not covered by this award.
Dillard University reserves the right to replace this award with other sources in the same amount in order to use
limited resources to support the needs of all students.
The scholarship award policy of the University is to assist students with the direct costs of their education, and to
provide access to higher education costs of a private college education. The scholarship program is not designed
or intended for students to make a financial profit.
All scholarship recipients are expected to explore external scholarship opportunities through civic, religious,
corporate or local United Negro College Fund agencies. If you are awarded an external scholarship, the
university may switch your external scholarship award with the amount of the institutional scholarship when the
external scholarship covers the same costs as the University’s institutional award.
Dillard University reserves the right to review and adjust at any time any award to maintain compliance with
federal, state and institutional regulations.
