BOSSIER PARISH COMMUNITY COLLEGE APPLICATION PROCESS
STEP 1: BOSSIER PARISH COMMUNITY COLLEGE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
In order to be considered for admission to the Practical Nursing Program you must be admitted to Bossier Parish
Community College (BPCC). If you are not already a BPCC student, you must complete and meet the BPCC admission
requirements prior to acceptance in the program.
STEP 2: PRACTICAL NURSING ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS - NEW STUDENT
A maximum of 36 students will be accepted into the Practical Nursing Program. Admission is competitive. Admission
requirements are also based on LSBPNE requirements www.lsbpne.com. Applicant must have completed PN application
and the TEAS Entrance Exam.
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE TEAS ENTRANCE EXAM?
• Program selection is competitive, based on official ATi TEAS transcript scores. Program application will not be considered for
selection without TEAS Entrance Exam transcript received by deadline: January 1, 2021.
• Applicant is responsible for online registration with ATi and for all exam fees.
• Go to www.atitesting.com to create your student account for ATi (or log in to your existing account). Select Bossier Parish CC PN
as your institution.
• Choose the “TEAS AT ATI” option to begin registration process for exam.
• Choose any available test date/time to complete your exam, ensuring that you complete testing before program deadline:
January 1, 2021.
• If you have taken the TEAS Entrance Exam within 3 years of program initiation and are confident with your scores, your official
TEAS transcript with scores for all sections must be sent to rchampagne@bpcc.edu for selection consideration by January 1,
2021.
STEP 3: SUBMIT THE PROGRAM APPLICATION
STEP 4: APPLICANT SELECTION/ADMISSION INTO THE PROGRAM:
Students selected to the BPCC Practical Nursing program will receive an acceptance letter and additional information
regarding submission of the following required items. Ensure all documents are available as noted.
1. Acceptance of admission must be submitted by the established deadline in the selection letter and per instructions to
be admitted into the program.
2. Louisiana State Police criminal background check report "Right to Review" submitted to Louisiana State Police at
http://www.lsp.org/pdf/Right_to_Review_Authorization.pdf with required fees and 2 sets of FBI fingerprint cards
(form FD-258).
3. LSBPNE Evaluation for Admission form and attachments A, D and M as applicable, with certified court documents as
required. Application and payment will be completed on the LSBPNE website. You will be notified of instructions once
LSBPNE has created Nurse Portal account.
4. Completed Health History/Physical Examination (form will be provided upon admission).
5. Certification of high school graduation or satisfactory HISET (formerly GED) completion.
6. Certified copy of birth certificate, U.S. passport, or permanent resident card.
7. Sealed copy of college transcript if selected applicant has attended any other nursing program and transcript has not
been previously presented to BPCC.
Students who accept the offer for admission into the BPCC Practical Nursing Program must attend a MANDATORY Pre-
Admission Practical Nursing Orientation Session. All items and documents will be discussed/completed as directed. The
date, time, and location of this session to be announced.
