Mike Truitt Memorial Scholarship
Criteria for the scholarship:
1) Must be enrolled in the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Department
Academy.
2) Must have completed at least three (3) classes with a grade of “B”
or better.
3) Intend to pursue a career in law enforcement.
4) An overall GPA of 3.0 or better is desirable.
Application packet consists of:
1. A completed Scholarship Application form, including supplemental
application information.
2. An unofficial LMC transcript (may be obtained from Web Advisor at
www.losmedanos.edu
).
3. A one page essay on why you are pursing a career in law enforcement
and why you are applying for this scholarship.
4. One letter of recommendation. If being sponsored, the letter must be
from the agency.
The deadline for submission of your completed application is March 01,
Year Applying. Please be sure your application packet contains all the
above documents. YOU WILL BE INELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION IF YOUR
APPLICATION PACKET IS INCOMPLETE!
